Overview

St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church is seeking a skilled Business Manager to lead the financial and administrative operations of the parish. The role will involve financial management, staff leadership, and operational oversight in alignment with the church's mission and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial functions including budgeting, reporting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong internal controls
  • Prepare financial reports for leadership and finance council
  • Oversee cemetery financial operations and reporting
  • Supervise parish office staff and daily administrative operations
  • Establish workflows, delegate responsibilities, and ensure accountability
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development
  • Ensure compliance with diocesan guidelines and best business practices
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
  • Support parish programs and events through effective coordination

Required skills

  • Background in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management or office leadership
  • Experience supervising staff and managing operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business software
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
