Overview

The Business Management Consultant will provide management and business skills consulting services to small businesses in a 7-state area, focusing on the Texarkana region. The role encompasses developing training content, facilitating workshops, and building relationships with community leaders to support economic development activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct financial and operational assessments for small business clients
  • Identify growth challenges and recommend strategies to improve business performance
  • Develop scopes of services, financial projections, and actionable plans
  • Deliver consulting services and financial literacy education to business owners
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and business owners
  • Maintain client documentation and support team collaboration

Required skills

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related field
  • 1 year (Master's option) or 5 years (Bachelor's option) experience in relevant roles
  • Excellent facilitation, writing, communication, computer, and analysis skills
  • Ability to develop workshops related to small business management
  • Ability to work independently and hold accountability for results
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Authorized to work in the USA
