The Business Development Specialist at Arrowhead Automotive, a division of Brown & Brown Insurance, is a pivotal role focused on generating new business and enhancing customer engagement within the commercial property and casualty insurance sector. Key responsibilities

  • Generate new business and contribute to marketing and promotional activities
  • Analyze current customer accounts and identify cross-sell/account rounding opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Account Management Team on in-force accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
  • Generate new business leads through various channels including networking and referrals
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams on sales campaigns
  • Manage a portfolio of lost accounts to develop strategies for winning back business
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance policies

Required skills

  • Experience in marketing-related duties within the insurance sector
  • Understanding of multiple rating platforms through national and regional carriers
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • State insurance license required within the first 90 days of employment
  • Preference for candidates with retail agency experience
