Overview

The Business Development Manager at Gilchrist & Soames, a division of Guest Worldwide, focuses on generating revenue by acquiring new accounts and expanding business with existing customers in the personal care amenities sector. This position requires strong sales skills, strategic planning, and relationship building, with flexibility for remote or office-based work and travel for customer meetings and trade shows.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales within existing and new market segments.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to innovate and design new brands.
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations and communicate features and benefits to customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms and manage onboarding of new customers.
  • Utilize a CRM system to document sales activities and track pipeline development.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience with a focus on New Business Development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Negotiation and active listening skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
