Job Description

Overview

The Business Development Manager for Gilchrist & Soames, a division of Sysco, will focus on generating revenue through the acquisition of new accounts and expanding business within existing customer bases. The role requires strategic prospecting, relationship building, and collaboration with marketing and product development to grow sales in the personal care amenities sector, with the flexibility of remote work and travel as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical and customer relations management for major programs and projects.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales in existing and new market segments.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to create new brands and innovations.
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Utilize a CRM system for tracking sales activities and managing the sales pipeline.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience focusing on New Business Development and Account Acquisition.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
