Overview

The Business Development Manager for Gilchrist & Soames, a division of Guest Worldwide and Sysco, is responsible for generating revenue through the acquisition of new accounts and expanding business relationships within existing customers. The role emphasizes strategic sales planning, relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to drive product innovation and solutions in the hospitality industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales of personal care amenities.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to create new brands and innovations.
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms, managing the onboarding process for new customers.
  • Utilize a CRM system to document sales activities and track pipeline development.
  • Participate in corporate account meetings and trade shows as needed.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience focused on New Business Development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
  • Strong internal relationship management and follow-up skills.
