Overview

As a Business Development Manager at Emery Jensen, you'll be instrumental in expanding the company's footprint in Colorado by targeting high-value customers in the Pro Lumber, Paint, and Hardware sectors. This role focuses on establishing and nurturing long-term relationships while maximizing conversion of new accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and sign new high-value customers in targeted sales channels.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline with measurable results.
  • Effectively communicate Emery Jensen's value proposition to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers for customer transition post-signing.
  • Manage expenses related to travel, meetings, and conversion resources.
  • Attend industry events and participate in national organizations to foster relationships and business opportunities.

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years in business development or territory management.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and proven sales success.
  • Knowledge in the hard-lines industry preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
  • Existing book of business highly preferred.
