Overview

Impact Housing is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to support the growth of its third-party design-build business. This role involves identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with affordable housing developers, public agencies, and prospective clients, contributing to the company's mission of enhancing the housing delivery system.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted outbound prospecting via various channels.
  • Identify and research prospective clients and strategic partners.
  • Schedule introductory meetings between prospects and senior team members.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads across the sales process.
  • Attend industry conferences and networking events to build relationships.
  • Support execution of business development campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect and client interactions within the CRM.
  • Prepare pipeline reports and business development activity metrics.
  • Assist with preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Monitor market trends and development pipeline activity.

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or real estate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LinkedIn
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Genuine interest in real estate development and affordable housing
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms (preferred)
  • Familiarity with affordable housing and multifamily real estate development (preferred)
  • Experience preparing proposals or business development materials (preferred)
