Position: Business Analyst (Ref: 18635)Location: Salem, OR USA, 97301Salary: DOEDuration: 10 Months 4 Days - ContractOpenings: 1Deadline: 09/04/2026Description: Local Candidates Only within 50 miles Hybrid-mostly remotePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Business Analyst to join the Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) to support enterprise-wide system modernization initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, technical teams, program staff, and external vendors to elicit and clarify business needs, map workflows, document requirements, and assist with testing and implementation to ensure smooth solution delivery.Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, research, and document reviews to elicit business needs; translate findings into process workflows, user stories, business rules, and functional specifications. Documentation & Traceability: Author and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system documentation using standard templates; ensure end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Testing & Validation Support: Assist in drafting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases, participate in test execution, document bugs/issues, and collaborate with teams to resolve defects. Training & Implementation Support: Develop end-user training guides and "train-the-trainer" materials; gather user feedback post-implementation to support user adoption and continuous improvement.Qualifications Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting large-scale enterprise modernization, transformation, or IT software implementations. Strong facilitation and consensus-building skills across cross-functional business and technical teams. Solid grasp of data governance, data privacy, and security best practices. Experience working with relational databases or cloud-based platforms and the ability to translate technical specifications into plain business language.Working Conditions: Location: Hybrid / Remote (Must be local/commutable within 50 miles for occasional onsite meetings) Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM PST (40 hrs./week)Required / Desired Skills Business Requirements Elicitation & Documentation Required - 5 Years Process Mapping (Current vs. Future State / SOPs) Required - 4 Years User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Test Case Design Required - 3 Years Requirements Traceability & Lifecycle Management Required - 3 Years Enterprise Modernization / System Implementation Required - 3 Years Cloud / Relational Data Platform Knowledge Required - 2 Years Data Governance, Privacy & Security Standards Required - 2 Years Stakeholder Workshop Facilitation & Change Management Required - 2 Years
