Overview

Salted is seeking a Business Analyst to join their innovative team and help shape the future of the restaurant industry. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, focusing on utilizing real-time data from kitchens and markets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own core reporting across locations and districts, continuously improving and automating it.
  • Build and maintain a rolling forecast grounded in real operational inputs.
  • Translate kitchen and market data into clear financial insights.
  • Identify inefficiencies and cost drivers through data analysis.
  • Support budgeting cycles with thoughtful analysis and actionable commentary.
  • Partner with internal teams and external platforms to generate actionable customer insights.
  • Help evolve data usage within the company, improving tools and processes.

Required skills

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in finance, consulting, strategy, or analytical roles
  • Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets, with experience in large datasets
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Highly analytical with the ability to break down complex problems
  • Strong communication skills to translate data insights for non-finance partners
  • Demonstrated ownership and initiative in learning quickly and tackling new challenges
  • Interest in operational roles and using data for real-world outcomes
  • Degree in finance, math, engineering, or a related field
