Overview

The Building Maintenance Engineer at NorthPoint Development LLC is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of commercial and industrial properties. The role involves ensuring a safe environment for tenants and staff through troubleshooting and repairing various systems, performing preventative maintenance, and managing subcontractor work.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all aspects of commercial and industrial real estate
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other property issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance on physical structures and systems
  • Respond to and complete service requests
  • Maintain records regarding preventive maintenance and service requests
  • Assist Property Manager and Project Managers with various tasks
  • Conduct monthly property walks to address identified issues

Required skills

  • Commercial building maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • EPA 608 certification
  • Strong technical competence
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
