Overview

The Building Maintenance Engineer at Robinson Park plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of commercial properties. This position involves a proactive approach to repairs and preventive maintenance while fostering strong relationships with tenants.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives
  • Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance
  • Complete maintenance and repair records as required
  • Estimate materials and time needed for repairs and order necessary supplies
  • Assist with repairs of plumbing systems, roofs, and other building systems
  • Maintain lighting systems, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and coordinate additional assistance
  • Conduct routine building and grounds inspections and repairs
  • Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours emergencies
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with tenants and coworkers

Required skills

  • General knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing systems
  • Understanding of fire system devices and air systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge in the use of power and hand tools
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook
  • Physical ability to lift/carry loads of 50 lbs or more
  • Technological proficiency for work order systems and training
