Job Description

Overview

The Building Engineer at JLL will be responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within assigned facilities. This includes maintenance tasks such as inspections, repairs, and general handyman duties to ensure the proper functioning of the building's systems and structures.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment
  • Assist mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts
  • Inspect and repair the interior and exterior of assigned properties
  • Maintain plumbing components including toilets, sinks, and water heaters
  • Conduct lock and door maintenance
  • Complete documentation for fire extinguishers and building systems
  • Execute special tasks such as painting and locksmith work
  • Prioritize and manage work orders in CMMS in real time
  • Escalate issues to management as needed

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in maintenance areas
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Proficient in MS Office and CMMS (Maximo)
  • EPA Universal License (preferred)
  • BAS experience (preferred)
