Job Description

Overview

Pilot Flying J is seeking a Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician to ensure that all building structures are safe, functional, and presentable. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks including installations, repairs of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and maintaining overall building safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine building and grounds maintenance tasks
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R, food service equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Communicate with management to report repair status and prioritize repairs
  • Inspect buildings for safety and maintenance issues to ensure compliance with codes
  • Operate hand, power, and specialty tools for office reconfigurations and installations
  • Diagnose and repair minor electrical and plumbing problems
  • Complete work order repair notes and ensure proper charge allocations

Required skills

  • Proficiency in various technical processes
  • Basic knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical systems
  • Understanding of OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Effective problem-solving skills
