Overview

The Brass Instrument Repair Specialist at Music & Arts is responsible for repairing musical instruments efficiently and with high quality, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role may involve working on various instrument types, providing repair estimates, and assisting during special events.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and repair brass, woodwind, orchestral, or percussion instruments
  • Provide estimates for instrument repairs
  • Complete work within estimated cost and timeframes
  • Perform repairs on customer-owned and retail instruments from student to professional levels
  • Assist at repair clinics or school events as needed

Required skills

  • Experience in brass instrument repair
  • Experience in woodwind and percussion instrument repair
  • Customer service skills
  • Time management skills
  • Estimation skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school
  • At least 6 years of experience working on musical instruments
