Location: Eau Claire United Soccer Club, Eau Claire, WI Type: Part-Time Reports to: Board of Directors (President) About Us Eau Claire United is a dynamic youth soccer organization committed to player development, integrity, and a love for the game. We align with the U.S. Soccer Player Development Framework to create age-appropriate environments where athletes grow both on and off the pitch. Position Overview The Boys Director provides specialized technical leadership for all Boys' programs at Eau Claire United Soccer Club. This role focuses on player development, coaching support, and program excellence for Boys' teams (Academy, Grassroots Travel, and High School levels), working closely with the Director of Coaching to ensure consistency while addressing Boys-specific needs and opportunities. Responsibilities Support the DOC in implementing club-wide coaching philosophy while tailoring technical plans, curriculum, and pathways for Boys' teams. Recruit, assign, mentor, and evaluate coaches for Boys' programs; provide ongoing education, feedback, and resources. Collaborate on team formation, tryouts, player evaluation, and placement for Boys' teams. Oversee Boys' program development, including age-appropriate training methodologies, competitive scheduling, and player progression (e.g., pathways to high school, college, or ODP). Work with team managers, parents, and the board to address coaching-related issues and maintain positive team environments. Promote inclusivity, retention (especially for teens), and positive sideline culture in Boys' programs. Assist with club-wide initiatives such as MLS GO, TOPSoccer, tournaments, camps, and fundraising. Track and report on Boys' program performance, player development outcomes, and feedback to the DOC and Board. Significant experience coaching Boys' youth soccer teams (minimum 4-5+ years). Understanding of female player development, physiological/psychological considerations, and best practices. Strong organizational and communication skills; experience in a volunteer or community club setting.
