Job Description

Overview

As a BOS Ramp Lead at Swissport International AG, you will oversee and direct the work of ramp agents in a fast-paced and dynamic aviation environment. Your role involves leading operations, training staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and customer service standards while managing the baggage handling processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and direct ramp agents during operations
  • Provide training and instruction to ensure quality work
  • Read and interpret load sheets and follow customer instructions for loading/unloading aircraft
  • Maintain safety and integrity of customer and Swissport assets
  • Ensure professionalism and image are upheld by staff
  • Manage baggage make up process according to airline specifications
  • Assist ramp agents in performing their duties

Required skills

  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Some lead experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience in ground handling
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Flexibility to work on various shifts
  • Excellent health and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
