Overview

The Border Patrol Agent (BPA) - Experienced role with Customs and Border Protection involves protecting the borders of the United States and ensuring the safety of the nation's residents. This position is aimed at individuals with prior law enforcement experience who are seeking a full-time career with the chance to make a significant impact in border security efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs law violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Conduct surveillance, including using infrared scopes during night operations.
  • Perform searches of individuals and vehicles for weapons and contraband.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience
  • Proficient in the use of firearms
  • Ability to gather evidence for criminal cases
  • Experience in investigative reporting
  • Familiarity with tracking illegal operations and criminal activities
