Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join their workforce in Springdale, Washington. This role offers full-time, career positions for those with prior law enforcement experience, allowing them to continue their mission of securing the nation's borders and protecting communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Perform inspections of documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers while maintaining surveillance from covert positions.
  • Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry and perform various checks including farm, building, and traffic checks.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience or military police experience.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms and investigative report preparation.
  • Ability to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions.
  • Expertise in apprehending violators of immigration and federal laws.
