Overview

The Border Patrol Agent (BPA) - Experienced role at Customs and Border Protection in Tampa, Florida is a full-time position for individuals with prior law enforcement experience. Successful candidates will join a dedicated team focused on securing the nation's borders and ensuring public safety through various law enforcement activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Conduct patrols using various government assets to accomplish USBP missions.
  • Perform farm, building, traffic checks and other law enforcement duties.
  • Gather evidence and prepare investigative reports related to criminal activities.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement or military law enforcement experience.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Ability to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions.
  • Experience with surveillance and detection technology.
  • Knowledge of immigration and nationality laws.
