Overview

As an Experienced Border Patrol Agent (BPA) with Customs and Border Protection, you will play a critical role in securing the nation's borders and ensuring the safety of your community. This full-time position offers opportunities for career progression and is suitable for those with prior law enforcement experience seeking a new challenge.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
  • Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders
  • Perform physical searches of individuals, vehicles, and surroundings for contraband or evidence
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets

Required skills

  • Experience in law enforcement or military law enforcement
  • Proficient in the use of firearms
  • Ability to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions
  • Knowledge of immigration and nationality laws
  • Ability to perform physical searches and apprehend violators
