Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) for full-time, career positions in various locations. This role requires prior law enforcement experience and offers the opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of the nation through border protection and enforcement of immigration laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Conduct physical searches of detained individuals and their vehicles.
  • Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using various government assets.
  • Utilize intelligence information to track illegal operations and criminal activity.
  • Lead investigations of fraud, contraband, and criminal activities.
