Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) for full-time positions in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Those with prior law enforcement experience may qualify for higher-grade opportunities, contributing to national safety and border security.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Maintain surveillance to prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at the borders.

  • Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience or military police unit experience.

  • Experience in making arrests and exercising judgment in law enforcement situations.
