Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in West Palm Beach, Florida. This full-time role offers individuals with law enforcement experience the opportunity to advance their careers in one of the nation's premier federal agencies focused on border security and community protection.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Maintain surveillance and prevent the smuggling of aliens at or near the borders.
  • Perform physical searches and inspections of documents and possessions.
  • Conduct farm checks, traffic checks, and city patrols.
  • Utilize various government assets such as vehicles and watercraft to patrol the international boundary.

Required skills

  • Experience in law enforcement or military police units.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Ability to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions.
  • Experience in tracking illegal operations and apprehending violators.
  • Familiarity with investigative report preparation.
