Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in Miami, Florida, to enhance border security and protect the nation. Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance techniques.
  • Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
  • Perform various checks including farm, building, and vehicle inspections.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience or military police background
  • Proficient in firearms and law enforcement protocols
  • Ability to analyze information and make rapid decisions
  • Experience with investigative reporting and evidence gathering
