Overview

The Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents to join their mission of protecting the community and securing the nation's borders. Candidates with prior law enforcement experience may qualify for higher grade levels, with opportunities for professional growth and service in various critical locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Maintain surveillance using technology such as infrared scopes during night operations.
  • Perform various checks including farms, buildings, traffic, and city patrols.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets.
