Overview

The Border Patrol Agent (BPA) - Experienced position with Customs and Border Protection offers individuals an opportunity to continue their law enforcement careers while contributing to the safety of the nation. Applicants with previous LEO experience may qualify for higher-grade BPA positions and can expect a stable job with additional incentives, including potential relocation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at the borders.
  • Perform surveillance using various equipment during operations.
  • Conduct physical searches for contraband and weapons.
  • Lead investigations and enforce laws in an official capacity.
  • Patrol designated areas using government assets such as vehicles and watercraft.
