Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking Experienced Border Patrol Agents to join their team in Republic, Washington. This full-time position offers individuals with prior law enforcement experience an opportunity to advance in their careers while contributing to the mission of securing the nation's borders and protecting the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Preventing and apprehending illegal entry by maintaining surveillance.
  • Performing searches and inspections of individuals and vehicles.
  • Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various government assets.
  • Preparing investigative reports and gathering evidence for criminal cases.

Required skills

  • Experience in law enforcement or military law enforcement.
  • Ability to perform physical searches and apprehend violators.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Skills in investigative reporting and evidence collection.
  • Ability to analyze information and make rapid decisions.

  • Up to $60,000 in additional incentives for newly appointed Agents.
  • Salary range for newly appointed Agents from GL-9/GS-11: $65,545 - $124,717 per year.
