Overview

Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents to join their team in Alamogordo, New Mexico. In this full-time role, agents will utilize their law enforcement experience to secure the nation's borders and enhance public safety while working with a dedicated team of professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Conduct surveillance and follow evidence of illegal entry.
  • Perform checks on farms, buildings, and vehicles.
  • Patrol international boundaries using various government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement or military law enforcement experience.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Ability to analyze information and make prompt decisions.
  • Experience in apprehending violators and conducting investigations.
