Overview

Customs and Border Protection is seeking Experienced Border Patrol Agents to protect the nation's borders and enhance public safety. This role offers an opportunity to leverage prior law enforcement experience in a full-time career position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders through surveillance.
  • Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
  • Perform various checks including farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
  • Patrol the international boundary using various government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience or military police experience.
  • Proficiency in firearms and investigative report preparation.
  • Ability to make arrests and exercise sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with intelligence information and tracking illegal operations.
  • Experience leading investigations into fraud and contraband.
