Overview

The Border Patrol Agent - Experienced position at Customs and Border Protection (CBP) offers applicants an opportunity to protect the community and secure the nation's borders. This role is suited for those with prior law enforcement experience and requires candidates to uphold the mission of the U.S. Border Patrol while potentially facing relocation to key duty locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Maintain surveillance of border areas using various government assets.
  • Perform physical searches of individuals and vehicles for contraband.
  • Prepare investigative reports and gather evidence for criminal cases.

Required skills

  • Experience in law enforcement capacity.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Ability to analyze information and make prompt decisions.
  • Familiarity with surveillance and detection technology.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
