Overview

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents to help secure the nation's borders and protect its citizens. This full-time law enforcement position is ideal for individuals with prior law enforcement experience, offering opportunities for career advancement and various incentives.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend illegal aliens and smugglers at or near the borders.
  • Maintain surveillance using various governmental assets during operations.
  • Perform physical searches of detained individuals and their vehicles.
  • Prepare investigative reports and gather evidence for legal cases.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways.

Required skills

  • Experience as a law enforcement officer or military police.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Ability to analyze information and make prompt decisions.
  • Spanish language proficiency (training provided).
