Overview

Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. This role involves protecting the community and securing the nation's borders, leveraging prior law enforcement experience to take on higher-graded positions and contribute to a mission-critical federal agency.

Key responsibilities

  • Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations
  • Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers at or near the borders
  • Conducting surveillance and maintaining observation from covert positions
  • Performing various checks including farm, building, traffic, and transportation checks
  • Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using diverse government assets
