Overview

Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents to join their team in Springdale, Washington. Ideal candidates will have prior law enforcement experience and a commitment to safeguarding the nation's borders as part of this federal agency's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers near the borders.
  • Maintain surveillance using various methods including infrared scopes.
  • Perform checks on farms, buildings, and transportation to enforce laws.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior law enforcement experience or military law enforcement background.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms and investigative techniques.
  • Experience in performing physical searches for weapons and contraband.
  • Ability to lead investigations and utilize intelligence information.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
