Overview

The Border Patrol Agent (BPA) position is available for experienced candidates seeking to protect the community and secure the nation's borders. This role entails full-time law enforcement responsibilities, leveraging prior experience in law enforcement or military police units to qualify for higher-grade opportunities within the U.S. Border Patrol.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers near the borders.
  • Maintain surveillance using covert positions, including infrared scopes during night operations.
  • Interpret physical evidence related to illegal entries.
  • Conduct various checks including farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
