Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking candidates for entry-level Border Patrol Agent positions in Clancy, Montana. This role offers a significant opportunity to embark on a long-term federal law enforcement career focused on protecting America's borders and enhancing public safety. Candidates will receive comprehensive training to handle law enforcement duties effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
  • Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
  • Maintain surveillance and conduct patrols using various government assets
  • Perform checks on farms, buildings, and transportation

Required skills

  • General work experience demonstrating decision-making in stressful situations
  • Ability to learn and apply regulations, methods, and techniques
  • Skills in gathering information through observation and questioning
  • Experience in law enforcement or military police (for higher grades)
  • Proficiency in speaking and reading Spanish (training provided)
