Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents in Easton, Maine. This role is ideal for those looking to pursue a long-term career in federal law enforcement and contributes directly to the safety of the nation by safeguarding borders and preventing illegal activities. Candidates should be prepared for intensive training and possible relocation to prioritized duty locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders.
  • Perform surveillance and maintain a presence in covert positions.
  • Conduct various checks including farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
  • Patrol international boundaries using diverse government assets.

Required skills

  • Prior experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement.
  • Ability to gather concise information through questioning and observation.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Educational qualification of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
