Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents in Granby, Vermont, to join a long-term federal law enforcement career aimed at protecting the nation's borders and citizens. The role involves training and working closely with a team of professionals dedicated to public safety, encompassing a variety of responsibilities associated with immigration and customs enforcement.

Key responsibilities

  • Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations
  • Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
  • Maintaining surveillance to aid border protection efforts
  • Performing various law enforcement duties including patrols and inspections
  • Utilizing government assets for border patrol operations

Required skills
