Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents in Jackman, Maine, for a career in federal law enforcement focused on safeguarding the borders of the United States. This role offers immediate full-time positions with the opportunity to make a significant impact on national security, complemented by substantial pay and bonus incentives for new hires.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers near the borders.
  • Conduct patrols and inspections using various government resources.
  • Interpret evidence of illegal entry and maintain surveillance.
  • Perform checks on farms, buildings, and vehicles.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, military police or law enforcement.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Capacity to analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Completion of the Border Patrol Academy training.
