The U.S. Border Patrol is actively seeking full-time entry-level Border Patrol Agents in Newport, Washington. This role involves safeguarding U.S. borders and includes a variety of law enforcement and public safety duties. Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways
  • Conduct various checks including farm, building, and vehicle inspections
  • Maintain surveillance from covert positions

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of immigration and nationality laws
  • Proficiency in English and ability to learn Spanish
  • Ability to operate various government assets for patrol
