Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to join their team in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role offers a long-term career in federal law enforcement focused on protecting the American public and ensuring border security. Candidates will work in a variety of operational roles, gaining the opportunity to make a significant impact on national safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
  • Maintain surveillance from covert positions to monitor illegal activities.
  • Conduct farm, building, traffic, and city patrol checks.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, military, or law enforcement contexts.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (training provided).
  • Education in criminal justice or related fields preferred.
