Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Border Patrol Agent at the entry level in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role offers a path to a long-term career in federal law enforcement, contributing to the safety and protection of the nation's borders.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship and violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
  • Conduct patrols using various government assets such as vehicles and horses.
  • Perform checks on farms, buildings, and transport vehicles.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Skills in gathering information through observation and questioning.
  • Understanding of firearms and law enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to speak and read Spanish is beneficial.
