Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to join their mission of protecting America's borders and ensuring public safety. This role offers career growth in federal law enforcement, with immediate hiring for full-time positions that leverage prior experience in public safety and security.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
  • Conduct farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
  • Patrol international boundaries using various government assets.
  • Respond to emergencies and maintain public safety.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, or law enforcement.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Skills in questioning, observation, and documentation examination.
  • Ability to analyze information and make rapid decisions.
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
