Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is currently seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to join their team in Clancy, Montana. This role is critical in protecting the nation's borders and involves safeguarding American citizens by preventing illegal activities. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in federal law enforcement, with a focus on teamwork and community safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and custom laws
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
  • Conduct surveillance and operate from covert positions
  • Interpret physical evidence of illegal border entry
  • Perform various checks including farm, building, and traffic
  • Patrol international boundaries using government assets

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, or law enforcement
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations
  • Skill in gathering concise information through questioning and observation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze information and make prompt decisions
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred
