Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents for various locations, including Key West, Florida. This role involves protecting the American borders and preventing illegal activities while being part of a dedicated federal law enforcement team. Candidates will receive comprehensive training and may qualify for significant incentives upon completion of their training.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers
  • Conduct patrols using various vehicles and equipment
  • Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship
  • Analyze physical evidence of illegal entry
  • Participate in diverse law enforcement operations including farm and traffic checks

Required skills

  • Experience in law enforcement, public safety, or military service
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations
  • Skills in communication and crisis management
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (training will be provided)
  • Ability to operate firearms and perform physical techniques
