Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking Entry-Level Border Patrol Agents (GL-5/7) to join their federal law enforcement team in Colebrook, New Hampshire. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on national security while receiving extensive training and support within a robust career path in law enforcement.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
  • Conduct surveillance from covert positions, including at night using infrared scopes.
  • Perform various checks, including farm checks and city patrols.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets.

Required skills

  • General work experience demonstrating decision-making and composure under stress.
  • Ability to learn regulations and techniques through training.
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience for GL-5 grade.
  • Specialized experience and/or graduate education for GL-7 grade.
