Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to protect national borders and enforce immigration and customs laws. This federal law enforcement career offers immediate hiring with both job stability and competitive incentives, including potential additional earnings up to $60,000 through recruitment and retention bonuses.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
  • Conduct patrols using vehicles, horses, and other government assets
  • Interpret evidence of illegal entry and conduct various checks
  • Maintain surveillance during operations, including night patrols

Required skills
