Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents (GL-5/7) to join its team in Colebrook, New Hampshire. Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs law violations.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near the borders.
  • Conduct surveillance from covert positions and utilize technology during operations.
  • Perform various checks (farm, building, traffic, city patrols) and ensure safety.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, military police, or law enforcement.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
  • Excellent observation and questioning skills.
  • Experience in handling firearms and law enforcement operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience may qualify for higher grade levels.
