Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking to fill full-time, entry-level positions for Border Patrol Agents in Glasgow, Montana. This role involves protecting America's borders and deterring illicit activities as part of a dedicated team of federal law enforcement professionals. The position offers excellent base pay, job stability, and up to $60,000 in additional incentives.

Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
  • Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders.
  • Conduct surveillance from covert positions, including using infrared scopes during night operations.
  • Perform various checks including farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government vehicles and equipment.

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement
  • Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations
  • Skill in gathering concise information through questioning and observation
  • Experience with firearms and law enforcement matters
  • Educational background in fields related to law enforcement (for higher grade levels)
