Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to join their ranks in federal law enforcement. This role involves protecting the American people by safeguarding borders and enforcing immigration and customs laws. Key responsibilities

  • Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
  • Prevent apprehension of undocumented noncitizens and smugglers

  • Perform various checks, including farm, building, and traffic checks
  • Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets

Required skills

  • Experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement
  • Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions under stress
  • Strong observational and information-gathering skills
  • Familiarity with immigration and customs regulations
  • Ability to speak and read Spanish is required
